Driving women’s safety forward

Safety features built into every ride
We’re committed to creating a platform where women feel safe.
That’s why Driber collaborates with female users, safety experts, and advocates to develop innovative safety features and policies that empower and protect our community.
Rider accounts
We have checks and safeguards in place to promote confident pickups and help build safe communities for drivers. For example, before a rider can use Driber, they must provide a valid payment method and register with their phone number or email address.
Phone number anonymization
Privacy is protected when users contact each other through the Driber app. Phone numbers are anonymized, and other contact details remain hidden.
Follow My Ride / Share My Trip
Friends and family can follow your route and will know as soon as you arrive.
24/7 support
We’re committed to supporting drivers and riders with care and empathy whenever it’s needed. In-app support is available around the clock, with a specialized safety team trained to handle sensitive situations and provide guidance and resources.
TripCheck®
Using GPS and sensor data, this feature can detect if a trip isn’t going as planned. Driber will check in to ensure both driver and rider are safe and provide quick access to emergency assistance if needed.
Emergency assistance
The in-app Emergency Button connects drivers and riders directly to local emergency services with a single tap. Location and trip details are shared automatically to ensure help can arrive quickly.

Stay in control with Women Preferences
Women drivers and riders have shared that they value greater choice and control over how they drive and ride. That’s why Driber has introduced features that give women the option to be matched with other women for their trips.
We’re adding new options to the app to help women riders and drivers match with each other.
-
Riders can choose Women Drivers when requesting or reserving a trip or set a preference to increase their chances of getting matched with a woman driver when requesting an DriberX or Driber Green trip.
-
Drivers can toggle on Women Rider Preference in their app settings and increase their chances of matching with women riders. They can toggle this option on or off whenever they want.
-
These new preferences were designed for women riders and drivers. For riders, we’ll use technology to try to determine their gender based on their first name. For drivers, we’ll use the gender information on their government-issued identification.
If a rider’s or driver’s gender in the Driber app is incorrect, they can update it:
-
Riders can update it by going to Account, then Settings, then selecting their name at the top and updating the Personal info section.
-
Drivers can update their gender in the settings of Driber’s Driver app by going to Menu > Settings > Manage Driber account > Personal Info > Gender.
-
While we’ll do our best to match riders and drivers based on their preference when these options are selected, we can't guarantee a match every time. Because there are fewer women drivers on the platform than men drivers, availability may be limited and can vary by time and location.
Women Preferences are being piloted for riders and drivers in select areas. For drivers, the Women Rider Preference is already live in 40 countries, while we’re testing the full suite of rider-focused Women Preferences in several countries around the world.
These features are designed to provide women drivers and riders with greater choice, comfort, and safety on every trip.
Getting paid to deliver is perhaps the main reason you looked for a food delivery job and chose to use Driber Eats instead. So we make it as easy as we can for you to track your earnings. The app offers helpful, transparent tools, like a monetary amount at the top of your screen that shows your earnings. Look for more resources in the app to help you see your real-time totals and other earnings details.
Their Driber experience won’t change; men riders will still be able to request trips and be matched with both men and women, and men drivers will continue to be able to accept any trip they’d like that they get offered.
This feature is available only to riders and drivers whose gender is set to Woman in the Driber app or the Driver app.
I love driving with Driber because I have access to 24/7 live support, which gives me peace of mind when I drive at night.
As a female driver, I know Driber has my back.”

Guidelines on respectful conduct
Our Driber Community Guidelines prohibit sexual assault and any form of sexual misconduct while using the app. Personal space and privacy must always be respected. If an incident occurs, you can report it directly in the Driber app during or after your trip. We’ll take appropriate action to help keep the platform safe.
Partnering on Safety
Thanks to the valuable feedback from women drivers, safety experts, and advocates, Driber continues to develop educational resources and partnerships with community organizations to promote safety across our platform.
Education
We have learned from our partners that education can help get to the root of tough safety issues in a way that emergency interventions cannot. That’s why we’ve made it easy to access educational materials and safety tips through the in-app Safety Toolkit and driver learning center, and why we launch proactive campaigns and initiatives like Stand Up, Don’t Stand By. We are committed to continuing to provide safety education opportunities for our users globally, including sexual assault and sexual misconduct prevention and awareness education.
Women’s Safety Pledge
Driber is dedicated to helping end gender-based violence—both on our platform and within the communities we serve. Globally, we work alongside experts and advocates to raise awareness, provide education and resources, and design trauma-informed, survivor-centered products and policies.
Classifying incidents
Accountability matters. That’s why Driber partners with leading safety organizations to develop a classification system that accurately categorizes and counts reports of sexual assault and misconduct.
This data helps us improve transparency and informs the creation of stronger safety policies and practices. Learn more about our commitment in the Driber Safety Report.

Driving Change: Driber’s global effort to help end gender-based violence
Driber is committed to taking a stand against gender-based violence. Through the Driving Change initiative, we partner with advocates and experts to strengthen safety across our industry and communities.
This initiative provides funding and support to organizations around the world that work to prevent gender-based violence and empower survivors.
